To promote sustainable living, educational innovation, and community partnerships through garden-based education.
GROWyoming emerged as a result of graduate research from the University of Wyoming in 2017. Research indicates the using gardens as a learning space for students can help improve academic achievement, social skills and self-confidence in students by providing hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that can integrate multiple subjects together. GROWyoming provides schools and other youth programs with gardening support in the form of curriculum, outreach programs, and garden construction and maintenance. GROWyoming also offers local support by offering garden workshops, lawn and garden consultations, and summer youth programs in Laramie, Wyoming.
